Today's Condition

On this occasion I would like to tell you about the situation around me, including my own health. The story begins at night before going to bed, at that time I felt hungry and thirsty. I also searched for food and drinks that were around me, ranging from rice, instant noodles, crackers and water drinks, iced water, to experimenting with making iced teh Tarik myself. But I don't know why it feels like my throat is still dry, my lips still want to eat even though my stomach feels full. Before going to bed I drank another iced tea with the aim of satisfying a dry throat. After that I went straight to bed accompanied by a fan with a gentle breeze. Then, this morning I felt a difference in myself. Starting from breathing that is a bit difficult, the head is a bit heavy, the body feels like it's in an oven and the like. It turned out to be inferred that I was sick. Breathing is difficult due to nasal congestion, the body is hot again so it feels colder than usual, there is al...

Tasty Cimol of me

Gambar
Today I want to tell a story about the gabut that prompted me to make a snack experiment, namely Cimol. On this day the conditions and the situation were constantly raining so that I couldn't go out, I finally tried to make food to pass the time and at the same time intended to watch a movie while enjoying the food in this rainy situation. At that time I was still confused about what to make, because there was no reference for making food. Besides that, I'm not very good at cooking either. Then, I tried to find on Youtube which snacks are easy to make and with simple ingredients. Here I found a choice of Cimol because the ingredients used are not many and all of them are already available in my kitchen.  Cimol is one of the easiest foods to make, maybe some of us are already familiar with Cimol. It is a snack originating from Sunda which is made from starch. Cimol comes from the word aci digemol which means starch formed into rounds. Cimol is usually sold on the roads...

One of Tradisional Food in My Hometown

Gambar
I am a someone who was born and raised in Gresik. Of course I know a lot about the culture there. Not only that, Gresik also has a lot of special foods, one of which is bonggolan. Bonggolan is an oval-shaped snack made from fish meat mixed with starch added with salt and garlic. This snack is usually found in the coastal area of Gresik, East Java. This snack has a chewy texture and a delicious taste. Most people do not know about this food. When I brought the bonggolan and gave it to my friends in Tulungagung, they were confused and asked what kind of food is this?. Yes, that's the bonggolan. Maybe this snack is somewhat similar to Pempek from Palembang. But there is a difference in the ingredients of the food. For bonggolan there is a mixture of fish meat, while for pempek there is no mixture of fish meat. So it feels different. I think it's the Bonggolan that tastes better. Likewise with my friends in Tulungagung, they like bonggolan and are curious to make th...

The Ngebel Lake

Gambar
Ngebel Lake is a natural lake located in Ngebel District, Ponorogo Regency.  Ngebel District is located at the foot of Mount Wilis.  Ngebel Lake is located about 30 kilometers from the center of Ponorogo city or known as Reog City.  At that time I visited one of my friends in Ponorogo, my initial intention there was to take some things from my friend.  However, before going home I was invited to stop by and play in the lake by them.  This is my first experience visiting Ponorogo.  And at that time when in the lake area, we were offered by the boat owner to try to play and take pictures on it.  Before I decide "yes" I think first because the price is quite expensive.  Then I tried to negotiate with him, finally we got a price reduction at the same time I asked to drive the boat myself.  It was a pleasure in itself for me.  The first time I rode a boat while driving, it wasn't just driving, but I felt that I was already a professiona...

Community Service

Gambar
In the past few months, I participated in community service activities.  At that time HMPS TBI held a service and teaching activity called Wiyata Bhakti.  Wiyata bati is a work program that contains teaching, especially to train us as educators.  The target we educate are students who are currently in elementary school.  The activities there are very fun and give a great impression.  It was the first time I taught elementary school children directly at school.  The children there are very fun, they are enthusiastic, polite, creative and active in class.  My volunteer friends and I discussed our goals with them.  Then we distribute small pieces of paper to write down their goals.  Various kinds of wishes that they write in the dream notes.  Their ideals are very diverse, unique, and some are funny.  Starting from doctors, pilots, singers, jeep drivers, bus drivers, to horse owners in the Bromo area.  It was an amazing expe...

On this occasion I will tell you a little about the name of the food between Gresik and Tulungagung. Jadah is a traditional Javanese food, made from glutinous rice which is steamed and then cooked with grated coconut, sugar, bay leaves, pandan leaves and a little salt. Generally, jadah sticky rice is white in color, has a chewy texture, is slightly mushy and sticky. When I visited my friend's house, especially in the Tulungagung area. I've been given a treat that is jadah. But I don't know what the name of the food is. in shape it is somewhat different depending on the cutting. but I don't know if I haven't tried to eat it and feel the taste. in the end I want to try to eat it. and I immediately recognized it while saying that this food is gemblong.
